Sitemaps and Django
Today I was playing at work with sitemap generation using Django and hit a wall. Django's sitemap framework looks easy enough and I believe is powerful and flexible; it helps you generate the XML for your models and flatpages with very little effort. The problem that I encountered was because I am not using flatpages at all, I encountered some limitations for what I needed to do. Maybe I'm missing something, I don't know.
Inspiration for many. Good bye, Sir Genius.
Sir Arthur C. Clarke has passed away. Very sad news. As a geek, I have always been inspired by this talented individual, who has written classics such as 2001: A Space Odyssey. He has inspired me in my exploration since I was a kid, and always will. Rest in peace, dear Sir.
Why opinionated?
A while ago I was suffering PHP-itis. I was sick of it. After 10 years of using it I was tired of it. I actually had a lot of fun with it and produced some interesting software.
